Systems run on their own schedules. If you'd rather not wait for the next scheduled run, you can prompt one from More options on the system detail page.
How to trigger one
Open the system.
Click More options.
Choose the manual entry option.
Confirm.
What it actually does
It asks the system to evaluate now, using your current settings. It does not force a trade.
If conditions don't meet your criteria — no contract at your target delta and DTE, insufficient capital within your allocation, or a market state the system is designed to avoid — nothing will be placed. That's the system working correctly. Check the execution history to see what it concluded.
For Cash Reserve, this runs an immediate assessment of whether idle cash should move into SGOV.
For Wheel Paycheck and Futures Paycheck, this submits a trade entry for evaluation.
What the progress message means
While the run is in flight, you'll see a short progress state on the system. When it finishes:
Submitted — at least one order went in. If several entries landed in the same run, the detail can list them (for example, “Submitted 2 entries: Sell MSFT put, Sell NVDA put”).
No entry — the run completed without placing a new trade. That includes normal skips (nothing qualified) and many per-symbol issues (a single ticker timed out or was rejected). When the broker rejected a specific order, that reason is shown; otherwise you'll see a calm “No new entry was placed this run.”
Failed — a system-level problem stopped the run (for example, the brokerage connection timed out). The detail shows the broker or system reason.
Cash Reserve reports that it's evaluating an entry. Either way, the outcome also appears in your execution history and, if a trade results, your trade history.
When it's useful
You've just funded your account and don't want to wait for the next cycle.
You've changed settings and want them applied now.
You've closed a position early and want the capital redeployed.
When to leave it alone
Manual entries are rate-limited, and repeatedly triggering one won't make a trade appear if conditions don't qualify. If your system isn't trading, the execution history will tell you why — that's more useful than triggering again.
Manual triggers also won't help outside market hours. Nothing executes when markets are closed.
If triggering fails
You may see “Unable to trigger manual entry. Please try again.” This is usually the rate limit or a temporary brokerage issue. Wait a few minutes. If it persists, check that your brokerage still shows as connected on the Brokers page.
A finished run that says No entry is not the same as that error — it means the evaluation ran, but nothing new was placed.
