Wheel Paycheck lets you add tickers that aren't on the curated approved list, so the bot can sell cash-secured puts (and later covered calls) on names you already want to own.
Where to find it
Open your Wheel Paycheck system → Settings → Approved Symbols. Expand the available symbols section, then use Add your own.
How to add a symbol
Type a ticker (for example COST).
Click Add (or press Enter).
Wait while we check that the symbol has tradable options.
If it passes, it appears in your list labeled with the company name when we can resolve one, and it's selected for trading right away.
What we check
The ticker must look like a normal US equity symbol.
It must have a live options chain we can read. If we can't find options for it, you'll see an error and nothing is saved.
If the symbol is already on the curated list, select it there instead of adding it again.
You can add up to 10 custom symbols per Wheel Paycheck system.
Two Wheel systems on one account
If you run two Wheel Paychecks on the same brokerage account, their symbol lists can't overlap. Adding a custom ticker that's already used by the sibling Wheel will be rejected with a clear error.
What stays the same
Only symbols you selected will trade — we never add names behind your back.
Assignment is still normal: only add names you'd be willing to own.
On entry days, qualifying puts are still ranked by ROI and funded in that order within your list.
Common problems
"We couldn't find SYMBOL or it doesn't have tradable options" — the ticker is wrong, delisted, or has no usable options chain right now.
"SYMBOL is already available. Select it from the list." — it's already on the curated list; turn it on there.
"You can add up to 10 custom symbols." — remove one before adding another.
Overlap with another Wheel on this account — pick a different ticker, or free that symbol on the other Wheel first.
