Self Operating Brokerage runs your income systems inside your own brokerage account. You keep custody of your money at all times — we connect to your account to place trades on your behalf, and you can revoke that access whenever you like.
There are two ways to connect.
TastyTrade
TastyTrade connects directly and supports every system we offer. If you want to run Futures Paycheck, you'll need a TastyTrade account — it's the only brokerage that supports futures options.
Other brokerages, through SnapTrade
SnapTrade is a secure connection service linking us to a range of other brokerages:
Charles Schwab
E*TRADE
Tradier
moomoo
Public
Alpaca
Wealthsimple Trade
Webull
Webull Canada
Which systems work where
Cash Reserve — any connected brokerage. It only places ordinary stock orders, so no special approval is needed.
Wheel Paycheck — TastyTrade, or any of the brokerages above, provided your account is approved for options trading.
Futures Paycheck — TastyTrade only, with futures and options approval.
Trading permissions matter
Connecting your account is not the same as being approved to trade options in it. Options approval is granted by your brokerage, not by us, and levels vary between brokerages.
If you plan to run Wheel Paycheck, check that your account is approved for selling cash-secured puts and covered calls before you deploy. If it isn't, request approval from your brokerage — it's usually a short application in your account settings.
Choosing an account
You can connect more than one brokerage account and run different systems on different accounts. Each system runs on one account, and a given system can only run once per account.
If you want access to all three systems, TastyTrade is the simplest path. If you'd rather keep an existing account elsewhere, any brokerage on the list above will run Cash Reserve and Wheel Paycheck.
