Reconnecting an account and exporting trade history

Restore a dropped brokerage connection, and download your trade history as a CSV.

Written by Austin Bouley

Both of these live under the More options menu on each account row on your Brokers page.

Reconnecting an account

Brokerage connections can drop. Most often this is because your brokerage expires third-party access on a fixed schedule, or because you changed your brokerage password or security settings.

You'll know it's happened when the account shows a disconnected status on the Brokers page. While an account is disconnected, systems running on it cannot trade.

  1. Go to Brokers.

  2. Click More options on the affected account.

  3. Select Reconnect.

  4. Sign in at your brokerage and approve access again, exactly as you did when you first connected.

Reconnecting restores the existing account rather than adding a new one, so your systems, allocations, and history stay intact. If reconnection fails repeatedly, check whether your brokerage has revoked third-party access in its own security settings.

Exporting your trade history

You can download a full record of the trades placed on a connected account — useful for your own records, for your accountant, or at tax time.

  1. Go to Brokers.

  2. Click More options on the account.

  3. Select Export Trade History.

  4. Wait while the file is prepared. Larger histories take longer.

  5. When it's ready, click the download link to save the CSV.

The download link stays valid for 7 days. After that, just run the export again.

The CSV opens in Excel, Google Sheets, or Numbers. If you need the file in a different format or covering a specific date range, contact support.

If something goes wrong

"Unable to start the trade history export" or "Unable to start reconnection" — usually a temporary issue reaching your brokerage. Wait a moment and try again. If it persists, contact support and let us know which account and which action.
