Connecting your brokerage through SnapTrade

Connect Schwab, E*TRADE, Webull, and other supported brokerages.

Written by Austin Bouley

If you don't use TastyTrade, you can connect through SnapTrade, a secure connection service.

Supported brokerages

  • Charles Schwab

  • E*TRADE

  • Tradier

  • moomoo

  • Public

  • Alpaca

  • Wealthsimple Trade

  • Webull

  • Webull Canada

How to connect

  1. Go to Brokers in the sidebar (or complete this step during onboarding).

  2. Find your brokerage in the list and click it.

  3. SnapTrade opens your brokerage's own login screen. Sign in with your brokerage credentials.

  4. Approve the connection. Some brokerages also send a verification code to your phone or email.

  5. You'll be returned here with your account listed on the Brokers page.

Your brokerage login is entered on your brokerage's own site. We never see or store those credentials.

Connecting several accounts

If you hold more than one account at a brokerage, each becomes a separate connected account here, and you can run different systems on each.

What happens next

We import your account name, type, balance, and buying power so systems can be sized correctly. Head to Systems to deploy one.

Which systems you can run

Cash Reserve works with any SnapTrade connection. It only places ordinary stock orders, so no special approval is needed.

Wheel Paycheck works on any of these brokerages provided your account is approved for options trading. Options approval comes from your brokerage, not from us. If you're not already approved, request it in your brokerage's account settings — you'll need permission to sell cash-secured puts and covered calls.

Futures Paycheck isn't available through SnapTrade. It requires TastyTrade.

If the connection fails

Your brokerage isn't listed — only the brokerages above are currently supported. Let support know which you use and we'll tell you whether it's on the roadmap.

"That brokerage is not available for connection" — it's been temporarily removed. Contact support to confirm the status.

The connection worked but keeps dropping — some brokerages expire third-party access on a fixed schedule and need periodic re-authorization. See Reconnecting an account and exporting trade history.

Wheel Paycheck deployed but isn't trading — the most likely cause is that your account isn't approved for options at your brokerage. Check your options approval level there first, then look at the system's execution history for the recorded reason. Remember that Wheel Paycheck only enters on Fridays, so give it until then before concluding something is wrong.
