Requesting a refund

Self-serve refunds at /refunds: 14-day right-fit window from first paid charge, what happens, and when to contact support.

How to request a refund

You can easily request a refund at any time here: https://my.selfoperatingbrokerage.com/refunds

  1. Open the refunds page (link above).

  2. Choose Start Refund Request.

  3. Pick a reason (too expensive, not what I expected, technical issues, no longer needed, or other).

  4. Write a short explanation (at least 10 characters).

  5. If you're eligible, confirm the refund amount.

You must be signed in with an active (not paused) membership to use this page.

Who is eligible for self-serve refund

The refunds page can issue a full refund automatically if your first paid subscription charge was within the last 14 days (the 14-day right-fit window).

It refunds that first paid charge through Stripe. If you have no paid subscription charge yet (for example you're still on a trial), you aren't eligible here. Cancel from Settings instead. See Cancelling your subscription.

What happens when a refund is approved

  • A full refund goes to your original payment method (usually within 5-10 business days).

  • Your subscription is cancelled immediately.

  • App access is removed right away.

  • Income systems stop and trade protection stops.

This is different from cancelling without a refund. A normal cancel keeps your access until the end of your current billing period. A refund ends access now.

If you're not eligible

If you're outside the 14-day window (or there's no paid charge to refund), the page will say you're not eligible and point you to support.

You can still contact support from the refunds page or through chat. Outside self-serve windows, refund decisions follow our Terms of Service and refund policy.

90-day performance guarantee

The self-serve refunds page does not process the 90-day performance guarantee.

As per the Terms of Service, to take advantage of the 90-day performance guarantee, you need to manually reach out to support.

Your open positions

Refunding and cancelling does not close positions at your brokerage. Anything still open stays in your brokerage account for you to manage.
